Asia Injury was formed in March 2000 and became an official member of Safe Kids Worldwide in February 2002. Safe Kids Vietnam/Asia Injury focuses on combating the dramatic increase in motorbike-related injuries.
Safe Kids Vietnam/Asia Injury spreads safety products and messages across Vietnam , implements a highly successful helmet distribution program and coordinates numerous educational activities throughout Vietnam .

Safe Kids Vietnam/Asia Injury is developing a traffic safety education curriculum using posters, newsletters, TV programs and educational materials for parents, teachers, and students. The program will expand to 300 primary schools and 450,000 kids around the country.
The Helmet for Kids program is designed to provide children with motorbike helmets and raise their awareness of the importance of traffic safety. Using a private-public model, Safe Kids Vietnam/Asia Injury partners with corporate sponsors, schools and local communities in a program that has distributed helmets to 150,000 children in 100 schools nationwide in two and a half years.
This factory opened in May 2002 as the first nonprofit helmet plant in the world. Lightweight, high quality and affordable, Protec helmets are specifically designed to meet the unique climate and traffic conditions of Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Profits from the sale of Protec helmets are directed back to Asia Injury to fund further traffic safety programs. |
